John Wes Townley Finishes 26th in
Hooters Pro Cup Series Debut
Shenandoah, VA (May 3, 2007) – After starting 26th and running on the lead lap during the first third of the event, John Wes Townley’s No. 09 Zaxby’s/BB&T/PFG Miltons/Coca-Cola/Lang Signs/Athens Quality Glass Ford wound up in the garage on lap 168 after being swept up in a five-car collision on the backstretch during Thursday night’s Hooters Pro Cup Series Farmer’s Foods 250 at Shenandoah Speedway.
The 17-year-old Wood Brothers/JTG Racing developmental driver was credited with a 26th-place finish during his debut outing with the highly-acclaimed short track touring circuit.
Thursday night’s Farmer’s Foods 250 will air on Speed Channel on Wednesday May 16 at 4 p.m. eastern.
Townley returns to action in the Brothers Racing Team Zaxby’s Ford on Saturday night when the ASA Late Model Series South Division visits Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele.
